Mike, Ok, so I read what lens you used but the thing that blows me away is the colors and the way the pop in these images. How did you do that. Is it a filter you have on the camera, is it some adjustment you are using in iPhoto/Aperture/Photoshop...? Is it a setting on your camera? Is it a combination of some of these things. I feel like I do a good job of getting the shot but the colors in my photos just don't have the emphasis like in yours. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Mike, JOhn

i just googled "bay to breakers" and was surprised to see it is a road race! from your photos i thought it was something more like the folsom st. fair. when i lived in SF, i went to it one year not really knowing what it was.... i found out quick.... YIKES!!
