Off to WWDC 2005

Saturday, June 04, 2005

I'm heading down to San Francisco tomorrow with the rest of Delicious Monster for WWDC, Apples World Wide Developers Conference. I am going to be a guest speaker in the "Cutting-Edge Interface Design for Mac OS X" session so if your coming to WWDC be sure to come to the Russian Hill room at 9:00 AM on Tuesday morning. It is going to be a great session. We entered Delicious Library in the 2005 Apple Design Awards so Tuesday night we will see if we won.

That's awesome. Is there a way to watch a session of WWDC before the whole event is over?

Good luck! (but not too much luck because I have a product in the competition too). Mike, I'm looking forward to your thoughts on any new announcements that Apple makes at the conference, especially as they relate to boutique software developers such as Delicious Monster. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing if there is any truth to the Intel rumors and if so, how it will affect businesses like Delicious Monster and my own.

dude, you made it into the WWDC keynote video!

You're in the crowd for just a second and the end while panning through all the crowd.
Nice shirt.

You can catch Mike in the keynote video... way at the end... after Jobs walks off the stage... at the 1:02:00 mark.

Cool t-shirt.

Good luck with the binary.

I see your quote also made the frontpage of Wired Magazine. So you've been on there twice now, not too shabby.

Also, does this chip-switch mean you'll have to rework some code (Carbon based), or are you using Cocoa?

You have to recomiple your code, and if it breaks, you have to go through and fix some stuff... I mean, that should not take long, Mathematica had it done in an hour.

So??? Did you win? I can't seem to find the results of the Design Awards. Unless I'm being a complete idiot which is highly probable.

I was going to switch to Mac this year, but now I'm contemplating waiting it out. But, with prices possibly dropping in the next year and with universal binaries, maybe I should just go ahead and do it.

Yeah, I can't find it either. The URL just redirects to developer.apple.com/wwdc.

Congratulations for the two awards you received tonight. Winner of Best User Experience and runner up of Best New Product. (For those of you not in the know, the awards were postponed to Wednesday night here at WWDC.)

I just want to say a late "Thank you" for your talk at the User Experience sessions. That was absolutely one of my favourite sessions at WWDC. Very inspiring.

Also, are you still available for icon work? I have something coming up that needs a kick-ass icon.
